Monise is currently working on her first book, entitled Chasing the Achievement Gap: How a school district has created a generation of ‘academically disadvantaged’ students. The book reveals the discrepancies of minority student enrollment in both the Gifted and Special Education programs within the Gwinnett County Public School System, located in Georgia. ”Chasing the Achievement Gap’ will be released later this year.
